This mod fixes that by making the vanilla guns do the same amount of damage as a weapon of the same caliber from Modern Firearms, which uses this system to determine base damage: Seriously, have you been hit with one of their DSRs? It took away 75% of my health - at fucking level 88 with two pieces of armor with Mark 5 ballistic weave on them! While this makes gameplay much more realistic (and enjoyable assuming you're not sexually aroused by classic RPGs I swear if the main character of the Elder Scrolls VI isn't voiced because of you assholes I'm gonna be so fucking pissed.), it makes all the guns in the base game completely useless (even though most of them are already kinda shitty regardless). This concept changes combat in Fallout 4 entirely - you can't risk being shot nearly as much, even if you're wearing good armor. Two bullets should make the hurt stop altogether." However, they have a philosophy on video game weapons that differs from most people who make shit for RPGs: "One bullet should hurt. It adds a good number of highly modular weapon platforms invented between 19 in the US, Europe, and Russia/the USSR. Modern Firearms by Idlesheep and friends is easily the best weapon mod for a Bethesda game I've seen to date.
